What This Means

ThriftyPaw is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also participate in affiliate programs with other retailers and brands, which may pay us a commission when you click through our links and make a purchase.

These affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content, product reviews, or recommendations. We test, research, and recommend products based on their merits, not based on affiliate commission rates. If a product is not good, we will say so, regardless of whether we earn a commission on it.

How We Make Money

When you click an affiliate link on ThriftyPaw and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale price. This does not increase the price you pay. The retailer pays the commission, not you.

For example, if you click a link to a dog bed on Amazon and buy it for 35 dollars, Amazon pays us a commission of roughly 1 dollar. You still pay 35 dollars. The commission comes out of Amazon’s margin, not your wallet.

Our Editorial Independence

We do not accept payment for positive reviews. We do not accept free products in exchange for guaranteed coverage. If a brand sends us a product for review, we disclose that in the review itself.

Our recommendations are based on:

• Hands-on testing where possible
• Research into product specifications, user reviews, and expert assessments
• Comparison with competing products in the same category
• Real-world performance, not marketing claims

If we recommend a product, it is because we believe it is a good choice for pet parents on a budget. If we earn a commission on that recommendation, that is a bonus, not the reason for the recommendation.

Which Products Get Affiliate Links

We include affiliate links for products we recommend in our guides, reviews, and comparison articles. Not every product mentioned on ThriftyPaw has an affiliate link. Some products we mention because they are relevant to the topic, even if we do not have an affiliate relationship with the retailer.

We prioritize products from brands with direct affiliate programs that offer fair commission rates. We also link to Amazon when it is the best or only purchasing option for a given product.

Budget Focus

ThriftyPaw is a budget pet care brand. We focus on products that deliver value for money. We will never recommend the cheapest option if it is garbage, and we will never pretend an expensive product is budget-friendly. Our goal is to help pet parents make smart spending decisions.
